Time to part with our Wacker Neuson mini roller - only because we've shifted focus to larger commercial projects. This 2014 model has surprising punch for its size - compacts like machines twice as heavy. Had an issue with the starter solenoid last summer during that heatwave but replaced it and runs perfect now. Vibration system still hits that sweet spot where it settles material without bouncing all over. Our operator mentioned he could run this thing all day without the fatigue he gets from our other compactors. The articulation joint developed a slight knock around the 1,800 hour mark, but actually makes it easier to feel when you're about to jackknife it in reverse. Water tank has that crack we repaired with epoxy - holds fine but you need to keep an eye on the level. Drum edges still sharp which is rare on these older units - we were careful not to bang them into curbs. Battery holds charge for weeks between uses unlike most special machinery that drains overnight.
