Parting with our Sakai SW800 - switching to smaller units for the residential work we're focusing on this year. This 9,880kg machine has been solid through every job since we got it. Had a weird hydraulic issue back in '22 where it would occasionally jerk when starting off cold, but our mechanic sorted it and hasn't happened since. Drum alignment still perfect - we just resurfaced that tricky curved section of Highway 12 and the inspector actually commented on how smooth the transitions were. The 2,355 hours are mostly from steady work, not idle time - we're not those contractors who leave equipment running all day. Previous specialist said it handles slopes better than any special machinery he's used before. Replaced the water spray nozzles last spring after they got clogged with mineralized water from that rural job site.
