Letting go of our CA6000D - not because anything's wrong with it, just won that bridge contract and need something with different specs. This 19.8-ton machine's been with us through thick and thin since 2014. Had a nasty hydraulic leak back in '21 that soaked half the parking lot before we caught it, but new seals fixed it right up. Left side of the cab has that dent from when a dump truck backed into it during the county highway job. Previous operator kept complaining about the seat until we added that cushion - still has the duct tape holding it together on the left side. Vibration system works perfectly though it makes that weird growling noise for the first minute when it's below freezing. Engine uses about a quart of oil every 120 hours, which isn't bad considering the age. Replaced both batteries last fall after finding them dead from sitting too long between jobs.
