Need to sell this Dynapac plate compactor - bought it six weeks ago for that water main project that got delayed till next fiscal year. Zero hours except the 15 minutes we ran it in the yard to keep the engine happy. The 282kg weight is hefty enough for serious compaction but won't sink into soft soil like our heavier models. Honda GX270 engine starts first pull - still has that new smell when it runs. The 5.3-liter tank should last most of a workday based on similar models we've used. Has that small scratch on the frame from when it shifted during delivery, but you'd never notice unless I pointed it out. The 78Hz frequency is ideal for granular materials - less bouncy than our old Weber on loose fill. Previous specialist mentioned the 500mm width hits the sweet spot for most trenches we typically handle.
