Time to sell our Dynapac walk-behind roller - only because we finally bit the bullet and got that ride-on we've been eyeing. This 750kg Chinese-built machine has been surprisingly tough considering what we've put it through. The Kohler engine still purrs along at 8.5hp - starts second pull cold, first pull when warm. Had an issue with the throttle sticking last summer during that heat wave, but sorted itself out once temperatures dropped. The 650mm drum width has been perfect for those narrow pathway jobs where larger special machinery just won't fit. Previous operator swore it compacted better than our old Wacker despite being lighter. Fuel efficiency is decent - the 5-liter tank typically lasts a full day unless you're running it flat out. Water spray system works well when you remember to clean the nozzles regularly (learned that one the hard way). Control handle has some play in it now but doesn't affect operation - just needs a bit of mechanical sympathy.
