Time to sell our Dynapac reversible plate - only because we're shifting to larger commercial projects. This 200kg unit hits that sweet spot where it's heavy enough to compact properly but won't sink into soft soil like our bigger models. Hatz 1B20 engine has that typical diesel knock when cold but runs smooth after warming up. Had an issue with the forward/reverse control sticking last winter during that freezing rain, but some WD-40 sorted it right out. The 3-liter tank somehow lasts most of a day despite being tiny. Previous operator swore it gets better compaction than our old Weber despite being lighter. At 80Hz, it hits material just right - not too aggressive but gets the job done. The 420mm width is perfect for utility trenches - finished that sewer line job a day ahead of schedule. Handle has that slight wobble from when Mike dropped it off the truck tailgate (didn't tell the boss), but doesn't affect operation.
