Time to sell our XCMG unit. Not gonna sugarcoat it - when we first bought this Chinese crane, we had our doubts. But honestly? It's proven us wrong job after job. Yeah, the electronics can be temperamental on humid days, and the manual's translation is good for a laugh, but it lifts what it says it'll lift. Our operator figured out that the controls have a slight lag when cold, so he lets it warm up with coffee every morning. The hydraulics work smooth though sometimes you hear that whistle when extending - mechanic says it's normal for XCMGs. Had to source a part through their dealer network last year which took three weeks, but other than that, maintenance has been straightforward. The special machinery handles rough sites better than expected. Cab's basic compared to European brands but everything functions. We've kept service records since day one - helps when dealing with Chinese equipment.
