Jabal Ali Port is introducing unmanned container traffic
DP World has signed a major contract with cargo carrier Einride to modernize inter-terminal container flows. The upcoming innovations in the port of Dubai are reported by Trade Arabia.
In the USA, some European countries and China there are already working examples of freight transportation, where unmanned electric container ships are used. This innovation was also decided to implement in the port of Jabal Ali, because the work of drones can significantly increase the efficiency of one of the busiest ports in the world.

At least one hundred unmanned electric trucks will work here by the end of this year. The vehicles will operate on the basis of the Saga operating system developed by Einride. The digital platform helps analyze and optimize the efficiency of unmanned vehicles, as well as manage them. Work on the introduction of unmanned container ships will continue throughout the next year.
Experts predict that after the drones reach full capacity, atmospheric pollution will be significantly reduced (carbon dioxide - by 14 thousand tons per year, nitrogen oxides - by 159 tons).
