Finally convinced the boss to keep this Potain after he wanted to sell it last month! Sure, the 10m reach isn't winning any contests, but that whopping 12t capacity is a total lifesaver for those heavy industrial components we've been dealing with lately. The 40m height is plenty for most of our projects, and honestly, the compact size makes it perfect for those congested urban sites where space is at a premium. Used it downtown last week where we had buildings on three sides - anything bigger would've been a nightmare to position. Had a weird issue with the rotating mechanism making this grinding noise at first, but turned out to be just a loose belt that our mechanic fixed in about 20 minutes. The clamshell grab is rock-solid though - picks up even those awkwardly shaped materials without a problem.
