Built in Canada, and you know they build them tough up there. This special machinery runs the MTU Detroit Diesel 12V Series 2000 - proper 760 horsepower that still pulls like day one. The operator assigned to this unit actually requested to keep running it when we offered newer equipment. Says the controls feel right, visibility's good from that ROPS/FOPS certified cab. 65,000 kg payload hits the sweet spot for most operations. Not too big to be unwieldy, not too small to be inefficient. At 45 tons operating weight it's stable loaded or empty. 700 liter fuel tank gives decent range between fills. We've maintained this thing properly. Services on time, quality filters, good oil. The Hitachi dealer's been helpful with parts when needed.
