Time to part with our CAT roller - only because we're downsizing after losing that highway bid last month. This 2012 model has been solid gold through thick and thin. Engine starts first crank unless it's below freezing, then needs about 10 seconds of warming. Had that weird vibration issue back in '21 where it would randomly shut off the drum, but turned out just needed a sensor replaced - works perfect now. The control panel has that crack near the hour meter where someone dropped a wrench, but all functions work fine. Previous operator swore by this machine - said he could feel exactly when material hit optimal density through the seat somehow. Cab AC still blows cold but makes that funny noise above 25 degrees that the dealer said is normal. Drum edges show minimal wear because we've been careful about approach angles on curbs.
