Time to sell our Dynapac trench roller - only because we just finished that series of pipeline contracts and need to free up yard space. This 1,595kg beast has been rock solid for getting into those deep trenches where you can't safely put a person. Kubota D 1005 engine starts right up even after sitting idle for weeks. The 850mm width is perfect for most utility trenches - wide enough for efficiency but not so big it can't maneuver. Remote control still works from about 50 meters which beats our previous unit by a mile. Had an issue with the right drum vibration mechanism making a weird clicking noise, but turned out just needed some adjustment - smooth as silk now. The 24-liter fuel tank easily lasts a full day which is handy when you're working those remote sites. Previous specialist commented it gets better compaction in half the passes compared to our old Wacker.
