Reluctantly parting with my 2022 Cat 988K wheel loader - wouldn't be selling except the quarry contract ended unexpectedly. This American-built 51,062 kg beast has clocked 15,889.9 hours, which sounds high if you're used to light equipment, but these machines are just hitting their stride at this point. The massive 13m³ bucket means you're loading trucks in half the passes of smaller loaders. Had a minor issue with the cooling system last summer during that heatwave, but our machinist sorted it proper - not just a quick fix. Engine still puts out all 580 horses without breaking a sweat, even on the steep sections of our pit. ROPS cab has been a lifesaver more than once - especially when that shelf gave way back in April. Special machinery like this doesn't come cheap, but the 712-liter tank means you can run a full shift without refueling.
