Alright so CARTER sent us these CT26 units and I'll admit I was skeptical at first. But ran one around the yard yesterday - thing's got more guts than the specs suggest. 2780kg operating weight means you can actually move some material without feeling tippy. The 15.2kw rating must be conservative because it doesn't bog down like some imports I've dealt with. Bucket holds 0.08m³ which matches the competition in this size range. Controls felt tight, not sloppy like the demo unit we tried two years back. They definitely improved the hydraulic response. Cab layout makes sense even if the materials are obviously cost-conscious. Plastic's thick enough though, doesn't feel brittle. Engine bay opens wide for service - huge plus in my book. Tracks seem decent quality, not that thin rubber some manufacturers use. Ground clearance is good, approach angle works for loading on trailers.
