Time to part with our Grove RT600E 50-ton all-terrain from 2007. This 4x4x4 configuration has gotten us out of some seriously tight spots over the years. Had it on a riverside job last summer where the access road was practically mud soup - still managed to position perfectly. The special machinery might have some years on it, but don't let that fool you - still lifts to spec and handles beautifully. Our specialist nicknamed it "Old Reliable" for a reason. Engine starts first crack even after sitting idle for weeks. The hydraulics don't have those weird temperature issues you get with the newer RT models. Cab's comfortable enough for those 12-hour shifts, though the seat has that groove worn in it from years of use.
