Time to part with our Grove RT530E-2 - the reliable 30-ton rough terrain from 2014 that's been our go-to for mid-size lifts. Had it out last week placing trusses in a spot where the access road was basically a muddy creek after three days of rain. Still performed flawlessly. The special machinery has that rock-solid Grove stability, even when fully extended on uneven ground. Cab's got the usual wear - coffee stains on the right armrest, that small tear in the seat our operator patched with duct tape, but all controls respond perfectly with no dead zones. Main boom cable replaced last year, hydraulics flushed in January, and fixed that annoying squeal in the swing mechanism that the dealer said was "normal." Engine starts first try every time - even during that cold snap when temperatures hit -15°.
