This little Thwaites 3000's been part of the furniture since 2006. Bought it used in 2010 and honestly? Best small dumper we've owned. 3-ton capacity doesn't sound like much till you're working in someone's backyard or squeezing through narrow gates. Then it's perfect. These old Thwaites are simple machines. No computers, no fancy electronics, just mechanical reliability. Engine turns over every morning like clockwork. Sometimes needs a bit of choke when it's cold but what doesn't after 18 years? Skip tips clean, rams work smooth. Previous owner actually greased things so the pivot points aren't all seized up like usual. Sure, paint's more rust than red now. Seat's held together with duct tape and hope. But mechanically? Solid as they come.
