Just unpacked this 2025 SK35SR-6 and man, Kobelco keeps refining these things. The 3850kg weight class is my personal favorite - heavy enough to push through tough soil but light enough that my half-ton trailer handles it fine. That Yanmar 3TNV82A-B might only push 22 horses but it's the most reliable engine I've dealt with. Starts every single time, runs smooth, barely uses the 42-liter fuel capacity even on long days. Travel speed's 4.4km/h which sounds slow until you realize you're never going far on tracks anyway. Rather have the torque for climbing trailers than speed I'll never use. Bucket holds 0.11m³ - perfect size for utility trenching and foundation work. ROPS structure keeps things simple and cheap to maintain. No cab glass to break, no AC to service, just basic protection from rollovers.
