Got our big JCB back Monday. Been on that commercial site moving mountains of fill for past three weeks without missing a beat. This beast's the full 8.4 tonnes with a whopping 1.3 tonne bucket up front. Makes all the difference when you're shifting serious volumes - had a contractor take it last month, reckon they saved nearly a day compared to the standard machine they'd used before. Had a bit of bother with it a few weeks back - kept losing power when working hard in the wet. Traced it to water in the fuel. Workshop stripped the whole system rather than just draining it - new filters, lines flushed, pump cleaned. Running sweet as a nut now even in the worst conditions. This special machinery's done about 4200 hours but honest to god it works better than when we first got it. All worn in proper, no slop in the boom at all.
