Got our precise 8.425-ton JCB back at the depot yesterday. Been out on that tricky riverside project with all the clay soil that lesser machines struggle with. Had a bit of bother with it last week - kept being hard to start first thing in the morning. Turned out just needed the glow plugs replacing. The workshop did a proper job rather than a temporary fix, so it's firing up first time even in the cold mornings now. This special machinery's actually more reliable than those newer models with all their complicated electronics that throw a fit when they get properly mucky.
