Got this CAT excavator-loader back in the yard Monday. Been out at that quarry job for nearly three weeks - properly filthy but running sweet after Grisha sorted that transmission thing. Proper heavyweight this one - full 9 tonnes and a bucket that takes 1.5 cubic meters in one go. Hardly worth having the smaller ones once you've used this special machinery. Only got it last summer when we took over that other outfit that went bust. Had to replace the radiator in February - some idiot tried running it low on coolant. Cost an absolute fortune but worth it - this thing earns its keep when you've got serious earth to shift. Boris usually operates it - ex-army lad who treats it better than his wife! Been with us since we got the machine and knows every quirk it's got.
