Got this Massey Ferguson 385 here, 2WD with an 85HP Perkins engine. Four cylinder, runs strong without drinking too much fuel. Been reliable for us, starts up fine even when it's cold. The operator gets decent controls and a seat that's not terrible for all-day work. Good hydraulic lift capacity, handles heavy implements without much fuss. Our specialist says the Perkins engine's one of the better ones they put in these tractors. The driver can see what's happening, cab's built solid enough to take some abuse. Had our machinist check it recently - hydraulics respond well, transmission shifts like it should. 85HP gives you good power for medium to larger jobs without being overkill. Steering's tight, no weird play in it.
