Time to part with our TEREX RT555-1 - the 55-ton rough terrain from 2015 that's been rock-solid since day one. Bought it when TEREX quality was still top-notch before all the ownership changes. Hydraulics are still tight as a drum - no drift, no hesitation, just smooth power when you need it. Had it on a mall renovation last month lifting HVAC units in 25mph winds - didn't even flinch. The special machinery handles better than some 40-tonners I've run. Our operator actually offered to buy it himself but his wife shut that down quick. Cab's got the usual wear - cracked cupholder, faded sun visor, and someone carved "RT RULES" into the dash years ago. Mechanically though? Bulletproof. Replaced the load block at 4,000 hours, boom cables last spring, and fixed that annoying air leak in the outrigger system. Engine fires right up even after sitting two weeks between jobs. The computer system from 2015 is actually perfect - complex enough to be useful but not so fancy it breaks every month.
